We’re really raising the bar with these (and other) CMTW courses. Our myofascial pain & dysfunction classes aren’t poke-and-pray. They’re about assessing, palpating and thinking critically to get truly amazing results with as few needles as possible.
Level 3 is things really start to get interesting. And I don’t mean that to suggest that the other two won’t blow your mind. What I *AM* saying is that this is where you’ll really have to have your thinking cap on, because we’ll be thinking way outside the box. This course builds on what you’ve learned and shows you new ways to think and apply it
We’ll start to really get into somatovisceral and viscerosomatic reflexes, and how to GI and menstrual complaints through a myofascial lens. We’ll also really get into segmental anatomy. This includes a discussion of Cannon’s law of denervation – one that goes way beyond simply looking at hypertonic muscles. We’ll also go over some tricks to keep in your back pocket for how to think in terms of segmental anatomy in those really stubborn cases.
In level 3, we get into distal acupuncture strategies – new takes on an old system, and how to combine it with what you’ve learned about Dry Needling and other myofascial acupuncture techniques.
We’ll also take a deeper look at the role that the sympathetic nervous system plays in chronic pain. This includes – but is far from limited to – the psychoemotional component. We’ll also get into metabolic factors and how to think in terms of Chinese Medicine pattern diagnosis when putting together a treatment plan that includes DN.
This is where it comes full circle – where we go way outside the box, then bring it back into the broader context of Chinese Medicine!
