According to the CDC, Lyme disease is the fastest growing vector-born, infectious disease in the US, with an estimated 300,000 new infections a year. Chinese herbal medicine is uniquely equipped to powerfully address the needs of these patients, and we want to teach you how.
Maegan N. Hodge, MSOM, L.Ac. and Brehan Crawford, MAOM, L.Ac. will walk you through everything you need to know to be able to communicate with these patients intelligently, as well as teach you the most effective herbal strategies for bringing relief to these patients’ lives. Special attention will be paid to Heiner Fruehauf’s groundbreaking work on the treatment of Gu disease.

- Provide history and methodology of Heiner Fruehauf’s groundbreaking work on the treatment of Gu disease.
- Teach participants the most effective herbal strategies for bringing relief to patients with Lyme disease
Maegan N. Hodge, L.Ac. has been in clinical practice since 2010. She studied Classical Chinese Medicine in Portland, Oregon at NCNM (now NUNM), where she was able to learn from and work closely with her mentor, Heiner Fruehauf, Ph.D, a world-renowned expert on Gu disease and chronic, recalcitrant health conditions. She runs a thriving private practice in Richmond, Virginia where she specializes in the treatment of fibromyalgia, chronic pain, and Gu.
Brehan Crawford, L.Ac., graduated from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in 2009 and spent six years in apprenticeship with Heiner Fruehauf at his clinic in Corbett, Oregon. He now practices in the Willamette Valley where he specializes in Lyme Disease, Neurovascular disorders and Oncology.
